Privacy Policy — LinkPro – UTM Link Builder

This Privacy Policy explains how Shoptimizer (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and handles information when you install and use LinkPro – UTM Link Builder (the “App”).

The App helps Shopify merchants create trackable links using UTM parameters for social media, advertising, email, SMS, and other marketing channels.

1) What data the App processes

The App processes limited information from your Shopify store as necessary to provide its link-building functionality.

This may include:

Store information, such as your store domain and connected domains
Store resources, such as product, collection, and page information used when selecting a destination for a link
Link configuration, such as selected channels, placements, campaign names, and UTM parameter values entered or generated within the App
App authentication and session information required to securely operate the App within Shopify

The App does not require access to customer names, customer contact details, order information, payment information, or other customer personal information in order to provide its core functionality.

2) Generated links and UTM data

LinkPro generates URLs based on the destination and tracking options selected by the merchant.

Generated links may contain UTM parameters such as source, medium, campaign, content, and term. These values relate to marketing attribution and do not inherently contain customer personal information.

Existing URL parameters supplied in a destination URL may be preserved when generating a link.

3) How we use information

Information processed by the App is used solely to:

Authenticate the merchant and operate the App within Shopify
Display available store destinations such as products, collections, and pages
Generate trackable URLs and UTM parameters based on merchant selections
Provide, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the App
Respond to merchant support requests

4) Data storage and retention

The App may store technical information required to operate securely, including Shopify authentication and session data.

LinkPro does not maintain an independent database of Shopify customer information.

Support communications may be retained for a reasonable period in order to provide assistance and maintain support records.

5) Data sharing

We do not sell personal data.

Information may be processed by service providers used to operate and host the App, including Shopify and our hosting infrastructure, only as necessary to provide the App.

6) Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information handled by the App. No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we use appropriate safeguards to reduce risk.

7) Data rights and deletion requests

Depending on your location, you may have rights relating to personal information, including rights to access, correct, or delete information.

Merchants may contact us regarding privacy or data deletion requests. We also respond to applicable Shopify privacy and data-deletion requests as required.

8) Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the App or applicable requirements. The latest revision date will be shown at the top of this page.
